Gift Cards

Sell gift cards that customers can use as payment when booking your services. Gift cards make great presents and encourage new bookings.

Where to find it

• Finance → Gift Cards in the sidebar.

Enabling gift cards

1. Go to Finance → Gift Cards → Settings.
2. Toggle Enabled on.
3. Configure:
   • Allow custom amounts — Let purchasers choose any amount.
   • Minimum amount — Minimum gift card value.
   • Maximum amount — Maximum gift card value.
   • Preset amounts — Quick-select amounts (e.g. $25, $50, $100).
   • Default validity days — How many days gift cards are valid for.
   • Email template — Customize the email sent to the recipient.
4. Save.

Creating a gift card

1. Click Create Gift Card.
2. Fill in:
   • Name — E.g. "Holiday Gift Card".
   • Initial amount — The gift card value.
   • Currency — Gift card currency.
   • Recipient — Name and email of the person receiving the gift card.
   • Purchaser — Name and email of the person buying it.
   • Message — A personal message included in the email.
   • Valid from — When the gift card becomes active.
   • Expires at — Expiration date (auto-calculated from validity days if not set).
   • Send email — Toggle on to email the gift card to the recipient immediately.
3. Click Save.

A unique gift card code is generated in XXXX-XXXX-XXXX format.

How customers use gift cards

1. During the booking flow, at the payment step, the customer enters their gift card code.
2. The system validates the code and checks the remaining balance.
3. The gift card balance is applied to the booking total.
4. If the gift card balance is less than the total, the remaining amount is charged to their card.
5. If the balance exceeds the total, the remainder stays on the gift card for future use.

Managing gift cards

• View — See the gift card details, balance, and transaction history.
• Adjust balance — Manually add or subtract balance with a reason note. Useful for corrections.
• Send/resend — Send the gift card email to the recipient.
• Enable/disable — Toggle the gift card active or disabled.
• Delete — Remove the gift card permanently.
